Since the invention of endurance sports, hardly any other person has been representing such a long-time and successful combination of athletic ambition and social commitment. For more than 25 years, Hubert Schwarz has been entering the saddle to master always changing and new challenges. The personable 56-year-old sportsman has participated in the “Race Across America” already for the third time: The world’s toughest long-distance bike race involves 5.000 km and about 30.000 altitude metres between the US American east and west coasts. In addition, the extreme athlete cycled “In 80 days around the world”, absolved over 14.000 “All around Australia” kilometres in about 42 days and a lot more… Meanwhile, Schwarz helps other persons on their way to mental strength and physical fitness. He runs the Hubert Schwarz Centre together with his wife Renate. Whether company incentives, nutrition lectures, adventure events (e. g. long-distance trips to Nepal) or seminars in human resource development – there’s nearly every imaginable option for professional or personal advancement. In this regard, Schwarz focuses on human aspects – perfect for a partnership with CENTURION: Whenever Schwarz enters the saddle together with others to tackle new tasks, he uses bikes manufactured by the Magstadt-based “traditional forge”. Current example: In the context of RTL’s Fundraising Marathon, Schwarz organized his BENEFLIZZ event in July 2010. For this purpose, he convinced over 100 prominent and not-so-prominent bike enthusiasts to cycle the original 90 km of the Triathlon classic “Challenge Roth” – and collected more than € 30.000 for charity! In 2011, this amount will be even higher for sure – perhaps thanks to your participation?
