DiRo
|
The northern Spanish Mediterranean province of Catalonia, with its coastal town of Cambrils, is the location of DIRO cycling holidays, just 100 kilometers south of the provincial capital, Barcelona, where the former cycling professional Raimund Dietzen and his "spiritual brother" Uli Rottler have pitched their tents. However, the proverbial "tent" - in the case of Diro - is extremely comfortable: the four-star Hotel Tryp Port, only built in 2002, offers all the amenities to travelling cyclists to recover from the epic tours through the picturesque back-country. For the 2011 cycling season, there will be many eventful racing kilometers to be covered on the CENTURION Hyperdrive racing bikes that are available in sufficient numbers for rent; in addition, the 11 member team ensures best organization and optimally prepared tours. The Costa Daurada is suited for racing cyclists of all skill levels (classification up to 5 groups, as required) and offers plenty of variety: Whether along the plains on the picturesque “gold coast“ or fighting it out in mountains ascents up to 1000 meters high – original Spanish culture is always included, tapas and wine is what you need to refuel for the second half of the day! From 19th March through 23rd April, there are five different cycling sport weeks to choose from, all information concerning how to get there, scope of services and prices can be found on the website.
