Cross Speed

Nearly a road machine… Gracile elegance, a slim double chain ring, no suspension fork – all this predestines a CENTURION Cross Speed for mile-eating on the long country roads of life. Therefore extensive day stages are no utopia while the enthused rider might feel temporarily like a pro athlete during the Tour de France.

But you don’t have to – this is one of our Cross Speed’s seductive aspects. There’s no strict dress code which prescribes tight racing clothes for the pure purpose of pedalling. Because in this case, some casual sportiness is completely satisfactory. There are no surprised glances if the cyclist takes along e. g. a small backpack.

The flat handlebar represents another difference between Cross Speed and road bike: All riders who enjoy the landscape from such a comfortable and upright seating position actually can’t be ultra-ambitious athletes who primarily focus on their cadence and consider a mountain pass to be less interesting than the total time they need to master it. As a kind of reward for this more relaxed method of relishing the head wind, our Cross Speed delights with 32 mm tires – thus another compromise between extremely slim road-racing rubber and a Cross Line’s even more comfortable 35 mm. The last (but for some bikers certainly important) difference in comparison to maximally reduced road racers: The CENTURION Cross Speed features eyelets for optional rack or fender mounting. Therefore it can be turned into a swift and even more versatile travel bike as well.
