When our current Trailbanger version was introduced last year, we initially considered this model’s chances to be those of an outsider. We nearly did not dare to hope for the fact that so many CENTURION fans would specialize themselves in extreme downhill cycling – and would buy a heavy-duty downhill bike specifically designed for that purpose.

Fortunately, we were completely wrong! Our Trailbanger is a genuine bestseller – surely because of its killer look on the one hand, but primarily due to its brilliant technological advantages on the other. This thoroughbred enduro machine with 160 mm suspension travel at front and rear resists all challenges

of the trail while transforming even rough “surface attacks” competently into controlled propulsion respectively downward thrust. Because first and foremost, a Trailbanger is, of course, designed to master fast downhills – enabled by superb safety reserves such as mighty disc brakes at front and rear, the Tapered Steerer, solid thru axles or the fork with its three-step lowering option. Thus even ambitious climbing is possible.

And there might be another reason why the Trailbanger – to our unlimited surprise – absolves a triumphal procession through the bike parks: In spite of its heavy-duty design, this model is light-weight enough to tackle also ascents without causing reluctance.
