The Backfire is the basis of the very first MTB ever developed - a mark achieved by Centurion in Germany over 3 decades ago. At Centurion, the Backfire range is regarded as the genuine embodiment of the mountain bike – outdoor riding exhilaration combining simplicity, performance and technical safety.

Improved traction and stability. Increased comfort, and the ability to devour trail obstacles with ease - the new generation of Centurion 29” ‘monster’ bikes bring all of these assets to the trail. The 29” wheelset offers increased surface contact compared with the standard 26”. The giant tyres roll with less energy expenditure while providing improved grip on the trail, and suffering less deceleration upon impact with obstacles.
